Boswellia is the extrusion of gum-resin (sticky, solid material) from the Boswelliaserata tree trunk.

This resin has interesting properties against inflammation. Unfortunately, it is very poorly absorbed and large quantities would have to be ingested to have a therapeutic effect. This is why Certified Naturals uses a mixture with phytozome, to make it easily absorbable.
